Searching the literature by an engine model (6-digit) enables a "standard search" to be performed if an engine model (6-digit) is known.

If you are to achieve an optimal search result, it is recommended that you make the vehicle data more specific by a combination of the type, engine and unit selection lists.

The more specific the vehicle data are selected, the more precise the result of the search will be.

The following steps are required:

1. Change to the "Infobox 1" tab.
2. Select the desired vehicle category via the "Vehicle type" pull-down menu.

3.

Enter the engine model (6-digit) in the "Engine number" input field and confirm with the RETURN button .

You can make entries with or without a dot.

Installabilities are shown in the "Type" (a) selection list.

To achieve an optimal search result, you should combine the type, engine and unit selection lists accordingly.

4. Select the vehicle model designation.

You can only make a single selection.

5. Select the unit model.

A multiple selection is possible.

The vehicle data are determined and are an integral part of the search context.

6.

For the standard search, however, you must also determine the infotypes and the functional groups to be searched.
To do this, you need to change to "Infobox 2". There are several ways of doing so:

Click on the button .
  or

Click on the "Documentation" tab.

The "Infobox 2" tab will be shown.

Select the groups and infotypes.
