The Mercedes-Benz Technical Training Department is responsible for providing performance based training to Mercedes-Benz Retail Center employees on diagnostic procedures, maintenance, general repair, and collision repair for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and light trucks.
Learner centered skills training is provided to over 4000 Retail Center Service personnel at Training Centers located in: Montvale, NJ, Itasca, Illinois, and a new state of the art 33,000 square foot Education Center in Rancho Cucamonga CA. Although technical training offered at the education centers is the primary method of disseminating the hands on skills that Mercedes-Benz service personnel require, knowledge that supports the skills training is provided by self-study programs such as Education for Excellence program, consisting of video tapes and work books, and the Technician Recognition Program, a quiz program based on the Mercedes-Benz technical library. Interactive e-learning courses are available through the MBUSA Corporate NetStar network. In addition, the ELITE program is a program designed to develop new Mercedes-Benz technicians and is conducted parallel to the technical training provided by MBUSA.
